This summer, I’ll be keeping an elementary school girl… as a cat. Natsume Kouji, your average high school boy, finds himself spending summer vacation “keeping” a 5th grade girl as his pet cat. —Why? Because that very 5th grade girl, Fumika Yukimi (currently cosplaying with cat ears), has awakened an ability to see future news reports. According to her premonition, unless she behaves like a “house cat” in my home, she’ll be killed by a serial murderer at the end of summer vacation. Trauma savants—girls who have gained supernatural powers in exchange for their painful pasts. Yukimi’s power is the real thing, so I have no choice but to properly treat her like a beloved pet. Of course, things can’t stay like this forever. To overturn Yukimi’s destined death—and to escape from this situation where I myself might get reported to the police and socially executed—I must join forces with Tsukiko Kyouno, the fiery, tsundere, overly lustful beauty who once awakened her own “ability” and narrowly escaped a serial killer. Together, we have to solve the case that’s currently shaking the town: the “Midsummer Elementary School Girl Chocolate Serial Killing.” But as we continue our investigation, one troublesome incident after another comes crashing down on us— With the situation changing as quickly as a cat’s eyes, is there really a path for us to survive? A prophecy-gifted girl who became a cat to escape death, and the summer we run through together— Summer × Love × Suspense! (Source: Gagaga Bunko, translated)
