Cidade Lúcida

Lucid City

First dancer of the Gulbenkian Ballet, Benvindo Fonseca has displayed body, talent, passion, technique and genius, all mixed up without any restraint, leaving those who saw him in a limbo between the real and the transcendent, dazed in such exuberance. Amid the applause here and abroad, the dancer struggled with an injury that left him in permanent pain, making a superhuman effort to live up to expectations. These achievements, weaknesses, joys and disappointments are told in this biographical film, sometimes in the first person or in the voices of friends and family who have accompanied Benvindo throughout his journey.
