1994: Young People on their First Car

A to B: Gets You Out The House takes a candid and wryly comic look at young drivers - a group of motorists for whom their first ever car marks a point of transition in their lives into a wider world. Nicholas Barker's fly-on-the-wall, observational documentary spends time with a group of young drivers, who reminisce about their first cars - why they bought them, how it made them feel and what did their parents think. Clip taken from From A to B: Tales of Modern Motoring, originally broadcast on BBC Two, 18 March, 1994.
