Sayonara Gohan

About this title

Hirakawa Kenichi is 70 years old and lives alone. He was expecting a leisurely retirement, until he was suddenly hospitalized due to illness. He laments his circumstances and complains about the awful hospital food, but what keeps him going is reminiscing about the "delicious foods" he has eaten in his life. His audience is a 29-year-old nurse who is confused about work, love, and life, as Hirakawa reflects on his life's journey through food. (Source: Big Comic Bros, translated)
