This Is An Insurrection

About this title

On the morning of April 15, 2011, the Church of Calvary in Michoacán became a symbol of resistance against organized crime. This documentary captures the voices of Indigenous communities who, inspired by the uprising in Cherán, embarked on their own struggles against political parties, advocating for self-determination and autonomy.
