The Caretaker

About this title

Below the summit, at the doorstep of Huntington Ravine, sits The Harvard Cabin — a remote respite for ice climbers and backcountry skiers to escape the elements. This film is an ode to the Caretakers that care for it, the men of Harvard that built it, and the mountaineers that rely on it. “The Caretaker" follows the story of Jack Kingsley, a solitary and enigmatic man who has chosen to live this reclusive life. Embracing the serene isolation, Jack spends his days meticulously observing and documenting the snowfall, weather patterns, and wildlife in the area. With stunning cinematography capturing the raw beauty of the untamed wilderness, “The Caretaker" explores themes of self-discovery, human connection, and the profound impact of the natural world on the human spirit.
