About this title
"The Making of Nancy" is a mini-documentary by Hunter Lea about Nancy Sinatra's 1969 self-titled album. It focuses on a turbulent period in her career after producer Lee Hazlewood unexpectedly moved away, leaving Sinatra to work with arranger Billy Strange and find new songwriters like Mac Davis to continue her career and redefine her sound. The documentary highlights this transitional album as a follow-up to her iconic 60s work and a precursor to her funkier 70s sound.
