Left Lane Straight

About this title

Following threads of memory through conversations with elders, recovered footage, and embroidery, filmmaker Caroline Kaye weaves together her Sephardic Greek-Jewish family’s fragmented history—from the Ottoman Empire, through World Wars, to Holocaust survival and immigration—revealing how identity can be reclaimed and reimagined. Left Lane Straight explores how people create and define home from the inside out when the outside world offers no stable foundation.
