About this title
A solo filmmaker returns to the football fields of his youth — home field, old practice grounds — piecing together the story that brought him there through fast, self-shot footage cut from his own Instagram reels. Humor carries the weight: quarterback jerseys played for laughs, skate bails, quotes from the sports figures who shaped him. But the jokes are pacing, not the point — they compress a personal history the film doesn't linger on. Then the tone shifts. Backstory becomes preface, and the film settles into its real subject: an experiment the narrator conducts on himself, shot and edited entirely alone, no crew, no credits beyond his own hand behind and in front of the camera. The pace slows. The stakes get serious. HURT is a document of pain and what someone does with it.
