Hollywood Song

About this title

Echoed by the harsh contrasts scrawled across Shelton Street’s iconic Studio A, Gimenez’s dreamy single-set thriller encapsulates the angsty relationship aspiring artists have with the filmmaking factory of Hollywood. A convergence of LFS’ political roots, the activist cinemas of South America, and the charmingly indelicate touch of a young director, ‘Hollywood Song’ demonstrates how falling in and out of love with mainstream cinema is an act that occurs simultaneously at the heart of filmmaking.
