Coups de hache pour une pirogue

About this title

The construction of canoes in the south-east of Madagascar is still based on techniques and the use of rudimentary tools, and based on respect for ancestral rites. The felling of the tree can only be done after an incantation to ask for the blessing of the ancestors.
