About this title
A social experiment involving a series of staged altercations by an already infamous Filipino celebrity goes viral and exposes the festering wounds of Filipino institutions and society. Filmed during ex-Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte’s infamous “drug war,” which resulted in some 30,000 extrajudicial killings, Beast Mode capitalizes on this experiment by sneaking progressive political messaging into mainstream news.
