Baptized In Black & Gold

About this title

Set against the backdrop of a city where loyalty runs as deep as its roots, this experimental documentary traces a father’s unwavering devotion to the Pittsburgh Steelers, reframing it as a kind of modern civic Catholicism, where stadiums become sanctuaries, game days feel like ritual, and fandom borders on faith. Through an intimate and reflective lens, the film explores how this devotion is inherited, passed down through generations as both identity and language of love, ultimately asking what it truly means to belong, to a team, a family, and a place like Pittsburgh.
