About this title

"Birds" is a film that observes rather than narrates. A figure moves through a day—lighting a candle, gazing into a mirror, rowing to an island, hanging bird feed. His presence is quiet, almost vegetative, more a function than a character. A body for the birds to consume until it disappears, dissolving into its surroundings like a sculpture slowly fading away.
