Program summary
Effective and last updated: July 26, 2026.
This agreement is between the person or organization accepted into the creator program ("Partner") and Manatan. By applying, accepting approval, using a creator link, or receiving a commission, you agree to this agreement, the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, and program instructions shown in your Manatan account.
Eligibility, application, and approval
- You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement and receive payouts.
- You must provide complete, accurate, current information about your identity, country, audience, promotion channels, and payout status.
- If you apply for an organization, you confirm that you can bind it to this agreement.
- Applications are reviewed manually. Manatan may accept, decline, request more information, or later re-review an account at its discretion.
- One person or controlled organization may not operate multiple partner accounts without written permission.
Approval is non-exclusive, non-transferable, and does not create employment, agency, franchise, fiduciary, joint-venture, or reseller status.
Referral attribution
Manatan records eligible visits through approved first-party creator links or codes. The standard attribution window is 60 days from the qualifying first click. A referral is not guaranteed merely because a Partner discussed Manatan or because a customer later reports hearing about Manatan from that Partner.
- The customer must intentionally follow an approved link or use an approved code.
- The tracking data must reach Manatan and Stripe successfully and remain attributable in Manatan's first-party records.
- Existing paying customers, pre-existing leads, Manatan-owned campaigns, self-referrals, test purchases, and manually reassigned or fraudulent transactions are not eligible unless Manatan agrees in writing.
- When multiple Partners claim a customer, Manatan's valid first-click attribution record controls unless Manatan corrects a clear technical or fraudulent misattribution.
Browser privacy tools, deleted cookies, cross-device purchases, blocked scripts, unsupported checkout paths, or an expired window may prevent attribution. Manatan will investigate credible evidence but cannot promise manual credit where reliable records do not support it.
Eligible revenue and recurring commissions
For a standard approved Partner, eligible membership revenue earns a 20% commission during the first 12 months after the referred customer's first eligible purchase and 10% after that while the same eligible subscription continues. Months without eligible paid revenue earn nothing and do not extend the 12-month introductory period. A written custom agreement recorded by Manatan controls if a different rate applies.
Commission is calculated on eligible website membership revenue, excluding taxes, tips, credits, discounts not funded by Manatan, refunds, chargebacks, disputes, failed or unpaid invoices, fraudulent payments, processor reversals, and amounts unrelated to the eligible membership. No commission is earned on Apple subscriptions, free plans, fully discounted invoices, lifetime offers, or donations.
Website-membership upgrades, downgrades, pauses, cancellations, reactivations, currency conversion, and subscription migration are handled according to Manatan's attribution ledger and Stripe's transaction state. A commission is contingent until paid and may be corrected if the underlying revenue changes.
Payout timing, threshold, identity, and tax
- Payouts are normally generated monthly on NET-60 terms after the end of the month in which eligible commission was earned.
- The standard minimum payout is $25 USD. Smaller balances carry forward.
- A first payout may be held for at least 90 days from the first eligible payment or longer while identity, tax, payment-risk, or traffic-quality review is incomplete.
- Manatan may pay through local bank transfer, Wise, wire, or another method agreed with the Partner. Availability and partner-paid receiving fees vary by country and method.
- You are responsible for accurate payout instructions, taxes, registrations, reporting, and invoices required in your jurisdiction.
Manatan or its payout provider may require identity verification and W-9, W-8, 1099, invoice, or comparable tax information before payout. A payout may be held where information is missing, inconsistent, sanctioned, legally restricted, or reasonably associated with fraud. Unclaimed balances remain subject to applicable unclaimed-property law.
Required promotion practices
- Use truthful, current descriptions and your own genuine experience. Clearly distinguish opinions from verified product features.
- Place a clear, conspicuous affiliate disclosure near each link or endorsement, such as "I may earn a commission if you join through this link." A profile-page disclosure alone is not enough where a reasonable viewer could miss it.
- Follow advertising, endorsement, privacy, email, anti-spam, consumer-protection, and platform rules that apply to you, including FTC guidance and Canada's Competition Act and CASL where applicable.
- Respect opt-outs and only send messages to people you are legally permitted to contact.
- Keep claims, prices, screenshots, and promotional materials reasonably current.
Prohibited activity
You may not, directly or through another person:
- Refer yourself, your household, your controlled account or organization, or a payment method you control.
- Use stolen cards, synthetic identities, card testing, fake accounts, collusion, manufactured subscriptions, or any other fraud.
- Stuff cookies, force redirects, use hidden frames, automatically open links, overwrite another Partner's attribution, inject software, or place referral data without an intentional click.
- Offer cash back, rebates, prizes, account sharing, unauthorized discounts, or other incentives unless Manatan approves the campaign in writing.
- Bid on "Manatan," confusing misspellings, or Manatan trademarks in search or social ads; impersonate official Manatan accounts; or use a domain, app, handle, ad, or page that appears official.
- Use spam, bought lists, deceptive subject lines, unsolicited bulk messages, malware, adware, misleading redirects, or illegal content.
- Make false earnings, fluency, performance, availability, pricing, endorsement, scarcity, or guarantee claims.
- Publish coupon, discount, review, or comparison pages whose primary purpose is search manipulation, copied content, or misleading users.
- Use paid traffic, sub-affiliates, agencies, automated content, or coupon distribution without disclosing it in the application and receiving approval where requested.
Manatan brand and promotional content
While your account is active, Manatan gives you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use approved program assets solely to promote Manatan under this agreement. Manatan owns its names, logos, product images, and other brand assets. Do not modify logos, imply sponsorship, register confusing marks, or claim ownership.
You own your original content. You give Manatan permission to review, archive for compliance, and reference public promotional content when operating or promoting the program. Remove or correct a claim or asset promptly if Manatan reasonably asks.
Monitoring, holds, corrections, and reversals
Manatan and its payment or fraud-prevention providers may review traffic sources, click patterns, customer overlap, payment risk, refunds, disputes, account relationships, conversion anomalies, content, disclosures, and payout information. We may request source URLs, campaign records, audience analytics, or identity information reasonably needed to validate activity.
Commissions may be delayed, rejected, offset against future earnings, or recovered after payout when associated with a refund, chargeback, early fraud warning, stolen payment method, duplicate attribution, self-referral, terms violation, calculation error, or provider correction. If a paid balance becomes negative, future commission may be applied until the balance returns to zero. Manatan may pursue repayment for fraud or material overpayment.
Suspension and termination
Either side may end participation at any time. Manatan may suspend tracking or payouts while investigating risk and may terminate immediately for fraud, legal risk, harmful conduct, inactivity, or material breach.
After ordinary termination without cause, no new referrals accrue, but valid recurring commission already attached to eligible customers will normally continue under these terms. If termination is for fraud, abuse, material breach, or false application information, pending and future commission may be forfeited to the extent permitted by law. Brand-use permission ends immediately in all cases.
Program and agreement changes
Manatan may change tracking providers, operational rules, application standards, payout methods, or program availability. Material economic changes will normally be announced at least 30 days in advance and apply prospectively to new referrals. Existing eligible customer rates will not be reduced merely because the public offer changes, except where required by law, a provider limitation, fraud prevention, a mutually agreed custom arrangement, or termination for cause.
Continuing to use affiliate links after an updated agreement takes effect means you accept the update. If you do not agree, stop promoting Manatan and close your partner account.
Disclaimers, liability, indemnity, and governing law
The program, tracking, portal, and promotional materials are provided "as is" and "as available." Manatan does not guarantee acceptance, traffic, conversions, income, uninterrupted tracking, customer retention, or program availability.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither side is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages. Manatan's aggregate liability arising from the program will not exceed commission paid or payable to you during the six months before the event giving rise to the claim. Limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to your fraud, infringement, confidentiality breach, or indemnity obligations.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Manatan and its operators from third-party claims, penalties, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your promotions, legal violations, misleading claims, privacy or spam violations, intellectual-property infringement, fraud, or breach of this agreement.
This agreement is governed by Alberta law and applicable federal Canadian law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Alberta have non-exclusive jurisdiction unless mandatory law requires otherwise. If one provision is unenforceable, the rest remains effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign this agreement without written consent; Manatan may assign it with the program or business.
